1. What information will we be able to get from the contractor under an Alliance arrangement that we could not otherwise get?

Estimate breakdowns and constructability details may be shared openly.  Under conventional contracting methods, contractors vigorously secure their estimating and constructability methods and philosophy as strictly proprietary.  Contractors that normally get work as a result of competitive bidding cannot afford the risk of their competitors getting their proprietary information.  An Alliance arrangement provides a trusting relationship regarding security of sensitive information.
